Two thick rings slide along a spiral column in completely opposite directions. Dark grey stacked plates rise to green, then white, while the rings themselves shift from green to white. The overlapping edges between each plate create a scale-like texture that gives the column a petal surface.
The rings glide along their own spiraling tracks with a smooth, satisfying motion. One ring follows the right-hand groove forward while the other follows the left-hand groove backward. Watching them oppose each other on the same column is genuinely hypnotic.
The piece works on two levels. It is a visual puzzle you can solve by watching the rings move, and it is a tactile toy that keeps your hands occupied. The geometry makes it both a puzzle and a toy.
