Bone is the colour, skeleton is the shape, and at four centimetres this baby pterodactyl is all proportions and charm. Hollowed-out eye sockets give it a skull-like face, while a ribbed segmented body and four stubby little legs keep it endearing rather than spooky.
Up close the details multiply: small rounded bumps on top of the head, distinct toes on each foot, and a spine built from stacked ring segments that flow from the blunt snout all the way to the tail. The proportions are what sell it, though. A chunky head, a compact body, legs that look just a little too short for the rest of the frame, and the whole thing rendered in one solid bone colour with nothing extra added to distract.
